More mic preamps, speaker and headphone outputs, sound pads, signal enhancement options, fluid editing features, and a sizable 4.3″ full-color touchscreen providing easy access to all adjustable parameters are all included in the P8. Additionally, you can edit and export entire podcasts using the P8 without ever having to touch a computer.
The six mic preamps on the PodTrak P8 are capable of handling dynamic microphones, whether you use them for announcer-style recordings (like the Zoom ZDM-1, which is sold separately) or prefer the clean, condenser sound. Both have a balanced XLR input connector, adjustable +48V phantom power, and a gain of up to 70 dB, which is plenty of boost to guarantee the best possible recording levels with a variety of microphones, including the legendary Shure SM7B.
